New pill tested to stop debilitating surgery sickness

Summary
This study is testing if adding a medication called aprepitant to the standard prevention plan works better to stop nausea and vomiting after outpatient surgery. It will involve 260 adults who are at high risk for these side effects. The main goal is to see if patients who get the added drug are completely free from nausea, vomiting, or the need for extra rescue medicine for 48 hours after their operation.
