Targeted training could stop Athletes' devastating second knee injuries
NCT ID NCT03190889
Summary
This study aimed to prevent second ACL tears in young athletes who had already undergone ACL reconstruction surgery. Researchers worked with 150 athletes aged 13-30 to identify movement patterns that put them at high risk for re-injury. They then tested whether personalized, targeted training programs could reduce that risk before athletes returned to sports.
