Balloon vs. hormones: the fight against Post-Surgery scarring

NCT ID NCT07032506

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to prevent internal scar tissue from forming after surgery to remove a uterine septum—a wall of tissue that can cause infertility or pregnancy loss. Researchers will compare two approaches: using a temporary balloon device plus hormones versus using hormones alone after surgery. The study will enroll 320 women who are having this specific surgery to see which method better prevents scar tissue formation.
