Can a common steroid stop Post-Surgery pain spikes?

NCT ID NCT07313553

Summary

This study aims to see if adding a steroid called dexamethasone to a standard numbing injection for hand surgery can prevent a sudden return of severe pain, known as 'rebound pain,' in the first two days after surgery. It will compare 60 patients who get the steroid mix to those who get a standard numbing mix without it. The goal is to find a better way to manage pain after surgery.
