First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study is working to prevent pressure injuries (bedsores) in hospitalized children and young people, especially those with dark skin tones. Current risk assessment tools may not work well for darker skin, so researchers are updating and testing a better tool at 10 UK hospitals. About 542 participants, including healthcare workers, parents, and children, will help make sure the tool is accurate and fair for everyone.
