New study aims to prevent bedsores in kids with darker skin

Summary
This study works to prevent pressure injuries (bedsores) in hospitalized children and young people up to age 19. Researchers will improve a risk assessment tool to work better for those with dark skin tones. About 542 participants across 10 UK hospitals will help test the updated tool. The goal is to catch risk early and prevent sores for all children.
