Summary
This study aims to prevent delirium, a serious state of confusion, in older patients after surgery. It tests a comprehensive hospital program that includes regular screening and proven preventive measures. The research involves 18,100 patients aged 70 and older in Germany to see if consistently applying these steps reduces the risk and improves recovery.
