NCT ID NCT07450404

First seen Mar 07, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a single dose of the antibiotic ceftriaxone can prevent early pneumonia in patients with serious brain injuries who need a breathing machine. Researchers will check if the drug reaches high enough levels in the blood to kill bacteria, especially in patients with fast kidney function. The goal is to reduce infections that often occur in the first week of intensive care.
