Fluid boost may shield pancreas after Stone-Blasting procedure

NCT ID NCT07202559

Summary

This study aims to see if giving extra IV fluids along with a standard anti-inflammatory medication is better at preventing pancreatitis (a painful pancreas inflammation) than the medication alone. It will involve 1,250 patients who are having a procedure to break up painful pancreatic stones. Researchers will compare how many patients in each group develop pancreatitis after their treatment.
