Summary
This study tested three different methods to prevent allergic reactions in breast and gynecologic cancer patients receiving the chemotherapy drug paclitaxel. 90 adult women were randomly assigned to receive either oral dexamethasone before treatment, intravenous dexamethasone just before treatment, or a combination of both. The goal was to find the most effective way to reduce allergic reactions during the first few cycles of chemotherapy.
