New study tests best way to link people to recovery support and prevent overdose

Summary
This study compares two methods to help people with both substance use and mental health disorders stay in treatment and avoid overdose. 208 adults from a referral center will either receive a team-based program called MISSION or be connected with a peer specialist. Researchers will track substance use, mental health, and recovery progress over time.
