First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether applying a gel made from a patient's own blood (platelet-rich fibrin) during disc surgery can prevent long-term nerve pain. About 60 adults having surgery for a herniated disc will take part. The gel is placed near the nerve root to reduce inflammation and pain.
