First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding two common drugs (dexamethasone and atropine) to spinal anesthesia could prevent nausea and vomiting caused by morphine in women having planned C-sections. 150 women received either one or both drugs, or a placebo, alongside their spinal anesthesia. The goal was to see if these drugs could reduce the need for additional anti-nausea medication after surgery.
