New spinal injection combo aims to stop Post-Surgery sickness

NCT ID NCT05560542

Summary

This study tested whether adding one or two specific drugs (dexamethasone or atropine) to the standard spinal anesthesia for a planned cesarean section could prevent the nausea and vomiting that morphine pain relief often causes. Researchers enrolled 150 women to compare the different drug combinations. The main goal was to see which approach best reduced post-operative sickness without causing significant side effects.
