NCT ID NCT05292352
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether a low-sugar diet can prevent non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in Hispanic children aged 6 to 9 who are at higher risk. Over 2 years, 103 kids will either follow the diet or eat as usual. Researchers will measure liver fat and inflammation to see if cutting sugar protects the liver.
