Race against time: can new drug combo halt Muscle-Weakening disease?

Summary
This study tests whether starting steroid treatment immediately after diagnosis, and adding the drug rituximab if needed, can prevent ocular myasthenia gravis from spreading to other muscles. It involves 128 adults recently diagnosed with the eye-only form of the disease. The goal is to see if this proactive strategy is better than the current standard of waiting to treat until symptoms worsen.
