Home hygiene blitz slashes MRSA infections!
NCT ID NCT02572791
First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested whether regularly cleaning both people (with special soap or ointment) and their homes (with disinfectant wipes) could stop the spread of MRSA bacteria and prevent skin infections. Over 800 people with recent MRSA infections and their household members took part. The goal was to see if this combined approach worked better than just cleaning people alone.
