New program aims to stop mental health crisis in kids hit by pandemic and disasters

Summary

This study tests a program called Journey of Hope-C19 to prevent emotional and behavioral problems in children aged 8-14 from low-income, minority communities who have faced COVID-19 and another disaster. About 800 children and their parents will take part. The program teaches coping skills and builds social support to help children stay mentally healthy.
