Nasal spray tested to stop Diabetics' silent danger

NCT ID NCT03608163

Summary

This study aimed to find a new way to prevent a dangerous condition where people with diabetes lose their ability to feel warning signs of low blood sugar. Researchers tested whether a nasal spray medication (naloxone) could help healthy volunteers maintain their body's natural alarm system during repeated low blood sugar episodes. The trial was stopped early and only included four healthy participants, not people with diabetes.
