NCT ID NCT07335471
First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested two new approaches for people on kidney dialysis (hemodialysis) to reduce heart and brain complications and improve comfort during treatment. One approach uses a special filter (hemoperfusion) to remove more toxins and lower heart risks. The other gives a sugar solution during dialysis to prevent dangerous drops in blood pressure, allowing longer and more effective treatment. The study involved 100 adults on maintenance dialysis and aimed to make dialysis safer and more tolerable.
