First seen Apr 29, 2026 ยท Last updated Apr 29, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether a combination of two drugs, cyclophosphamide and bortezomib, could prevent graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in 23 adults with blood cancers who received a stem cell transplant. GVHD is a serious condition where donor cells attack the patient's body. The goal was to see if this drug combo could lower the rates of acute and chronic GVHD, making the transplant safer.
