New transplant technique aims to stop Body's attack on itself in kids with cancer

Summary
This study is testing whether removing a specific type of immune cell (called naive T cells) from a donor's stem cells before transplant can prevent chronic graft-versus-host disease in children and young adults with blood cancers. Chronic graft-versus-host disease is a serious complication where the donor's immune cells attack the patient's body. Researchers will compare transplants with these cells removed to standard transplants to see which approach works better.
