First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 04, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a counseling program delivered by phone or video can prevent full depression in older, low-income stroke survivors who have mild depressive symptoms. About 300 participants will either receive this counseling or usual care. The goal is to see if teaching people to engage in meaningful activities can stop mild symptoms from getting worse.
