New probe could stop dangerous bleeding after colonoscopies

NCT ID NCT02875353

Summary

This study is testing whether using a special blood flow probe during colonoscopy can prevent dangerous delayed bleeding after polyp removal. The research focuses on high-risk patients who take blood thinners or have large ulcers. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the new probe-guided treatment or standard care, then followed for 30 days to compare bleeding rates.
