Cold meets compression: double defense against Chemo's numbness & pain

NCT ID NCT06400849

Summary

This study aims to see if a combination of cold therapy (cryotherapy) and compression (tight gloves/socks) works better than cold therapy alone to prevent nerve damage caused by a common breast cancer chemotherapy drug. It involves 60 women with non-metastatic breast cancer who will wear a cold glove on one hand and a cold-plus-tight-glove on the other during treatment to compare results. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to reduce a painful side effect that can last for years and severely impact quality of life.
