First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether Qidong Yixin Granules, a Chinese herbal medicine, can reduce the chance of atrial fibrillation returning within a year after a standard heart ablation procedure. About 846 adults with persistent atrial fibrillation will be randomly assigned to take either the herbal granules or a placebo for 12 months. Researchers will track heart rhythm with regular ECGs and Holter monitors to see if the treatment helps prevent recurrence.
