Summary
This study tested if a special monitor could help prevent dangerous drops in oxygen levels during a common digestive procedure called an ERCP. 80 adult patients were randomly assigned to receive either standard monitoring or standard monitoring plus this special device. The goal was to see if the extra monitor helped catch breathing problems earlier and keep patients safer while they were sedated.
