Nestlé tests new formulas for tiny preemies: can special ingredients boost growth?

NCT ID NCT04639518

Summary

This study tested two specialized formula feeding systems for premature infants to see which helps them grow better and is safer. Researchers followed 28 very small premature babies, comparing formulas with and without special sugars called HMOs. They tracked the babies' weight gain, feeding tolerance, gut health, and development for up to two years after they left the hospital.
