Reading to preemies may help them eat sooner and go home faster

NCT ID NCT05861531

Summary

This study is testing whether combining gentle mouth exercises with a special reading program helps preterm babies in the NICU. The goal is to help these infants start feeding by mouth earlier, reach full feeding faster, and potentially go home sooner. Researchers will also track the babies' language development and the mothers' stress levels for up to two years.
