Gentle therapy aims to rewire premature Babies' brains for better development

NCT ID NCT03232931

Summary

This study tested a special therapy designed to help the brains of babies born prematurely develop more typically. The therapy involved gentle, coordinated sound and touch stimulation, often supported by a parent's recorded voice and scent. Researchers measured the babies' brain activity and followed their language and motor skill development for two years to see if the therapy made a difference.
