Summary
This study tests whether adding a cervical stitch (cerclage) to standard vaginal progesterone therapy works better than progesterone alone to prevent preterm birth in women with a short cervix. About 328 pregnant women with a single baby and a cervix shorter than 25 mm will be randomly assigned to one of the two groups. The main goal is to see how long the pregnancy lasts after treatment starts.
