Can exercise and protein stop muscle loss on new weight loss drugs?
NCT ID NCT06885736
Summary
This study aims to see if doing muscle-strengthening exercises and/or eating more protein can help people with obesity keep their muscle mass while they lose weight using medications like semaglutide or tirzepatide. Researchers will follow 232 adults for 6 months to measure changes in muscle size, strength, and overall health. The goal is to find the best way to lose weight healthily without losing important muscle.
