Summary
This study tested a support program designed to help transgender women and men who have sex with men who also have a substance use disorder start and consistently take HIV prevention medication (PrEP). Participants received personalized guidance and text messages, with extra support for substance use if needed. The goal was to find the most effective and cost-effective way to help this high-risk group stay protected from HIV.
