Summary
This study tested a personalized support program to help transgender women and men who have sex with men, who also have a substance use disorder, start and consistently take HIV prevention medication (PrEP). Participants received navigation help and text messages, with extra support for substance use if needed. The goal was to find the most effective and cost-effective way to keep people on PrEP and reduce substance use.
