Can simple text messages stop HIV? study tests new approach to keep men on prevention pills
NCT ID NCT06476847
Summary
This study tests whether text message reminders and simple pledges can help men who have sex with men in South Africa continue taking their daily HIV prevention pills (PrEP). Researchers want to see if this approach is practical and acceptable before running a larger trial. The study involves 106 participants who are just starting PrEP and will track if they keep getting their medication refilled over 3 to 12 months.
