Smartphone app aims to keep At-Risk men protected from HIV

NCT ID NCT04899024

Summary

This study is testing a new smartphone-based support program to help gay and bisexual men who use stimulants like cocaine or methamphetamine stay consistent with their daily HIV prevention pills (PrEP). The program combines positive psychology exercises with a reward system for taking medication. Researchers want to see if this approach reduces the risk of getting HIV by improving medication habits and reducing risky sexual behaviors.
