Which oxygen mask works best? new study tests devices on healthy volunteers
NCT ID NCT07564050
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests how well different oxygen masks and devices deliver oxygen to healthy adults and children aged 5-12. Researchers will compare non-rebreather masks, bag-valve masks with and without a special valve, and nasal cannulas. Participants will breathe through each device for three minutes while their oxygen levels, breathing effort, and heart function are monitored. The goal is to find which method provides the best oxygen delivery before emergency procedures.
