NCT ID NCT07565259
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether coaching patients to breathe slowly and calmly before anesthesia can keep oxygen levels higher and extend the time they can safely hold their breath. 120 adults having planned surgery took part, comparing standard preparation with a guided breathing technique. Researchers measured oxygen levels, vital signs, and anxiety to see if this simple approach improves safety.
