First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving chemotherapy before surgery works better than giving it after surgery for people with locally advanced rectal cancer that has a low chance of coming back in the same area. About 550 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. The goal is to see which timing helps people live longer without the cancer returning.
