First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple breathing measurement taken before weight-loss surgery can predict if a patient will have low oxygen levels in the first 12 hours after the operation. Researchers will follow 80 adults having bariatric surgery and check their oxygen levels and breathing scores. The goal is to find a way to identify high-risk patients early and improve their safety.
