Short Pre-Surgery programs may boost mood and affect tumor markers in breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT01516190
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a short exercise or mind-body program (like relaxation techniques) can help women with breast cancer feel less stressed and anxious while waiting for surgery. About 49 women will take part for 3-6 weeks before their operation. Researchers will also check if these programs cause any changes in tumor cells or blood markers linked to breast cancer, but these results won't be shared because their meaning for long-term health is unknown.
