Pre-Surgery pain lessons cut Post-Op suffering

This study tested whether a short educational session before outpatient orthopedic surgery helps patients manage their pain better at home. Over 400 adults took part, with some receiving the extra teaching and others getting usual care. The goal was to see if the education led to less pain, fewer side effects, and fewer calls to the doctor after discharge.
