Can a negative prenatal genetic test fully reassure parents?

NCT ID NCT07342933

First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at children whose parents had an extra genetic test (exome sequencing) during pregnancy because of ultrasound findings. Researchers want to see how these children develop after birth, especially when the test came back negative. The goal is to learn if a negative result truly means no genetic issues, or if the test might miss something.
