First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests whether teaching first-time mothers proper breastfeeding positions and attachment through hands-on demonstrations during pregnancy can prevent common problems like sore nipples and breast engorgement. 100 pregnant women in their third trimester will be split into two groups: one receiving standard care plus an educational session and home visit, and the other receiving standard care alone. The goal is to see if prenatal education reduces nipple pain and engorgement after birth.
