Scientists search for Pregnancy's 'Early warning System' for premature birth
NCT ID NCT01767649
Summary
This study aimed to identify specific molecules produced by cells in the pregnancy membranes (the 'water bag') that could signal the start of labor too early. Researchers studied cells from 24 women with normal, full-term pregnancies to understand what changes occur when labor begins. The goal was to find biological markers that could one day help doctors predict and better manage premature labor.
