Helicopter medics test new Life-Saving blood clotting cocktail for crash victims
NCT ID NCT06891131
Summary
This study is observing the use of a new prehospital treatment package for trauma patients with life-threatening bleeding. The package includes three medications (fibrinogen, plasma, and tranexamic acid) given by helicopter and ground emergency teams to help control bleeding before reaching the hospital. Researchers want to see if this approach is practical to use in the field and if it helps patients survive.
