Warm fillings may mean fewer sensitive teeth
NCT ID NCT07496047
First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at whether warming up a special tooth-colored filling material before placing it in cavities helps the filling last longer and reduces tooth sensitivity. 70 adults with cavities in their back teeth received two fillings each—one with preheated material and one without. Researchers checked the fillings over 12 months to see how well they held up and if patients had any discomfort.
