Scientists test 'Sober-Up' pill for cannabis high

NCT ID NCT07216690

Summary

This study is testing whether a hormone called pregnenolone can help reverse the unwanted effects of being too high on cannabis. Healthy adults who have used cannabis before will take either cannabis or a placebo, then receive either pregnenolone or a placebo to see if it reduces intoxication symptoms like confusion, anxiety, and impaired thinking. The goal is to see if this could lead to a future treatment for people who need help recovering from cannabis intoxication, particularly in emergency situations.
