Summary

This study is testing whether pregnenolone, a natural brain hormone, can help reduce irritability and sensitivity while improving social communication in people with autism. It involves 40 teens and young adults (ages 14-25) with autism who experience significant irritability. Participants will take either pregnenolone or a placebo pill to compare effects on behavior and safety.
