Massive 7-Year study tracks virus impact on mothers and babies

NCT ID NCT07412977

Summary

This large French study aims to understand how viral infections like HIV, hepatitis, and mosquito-borne viruses affect pregnant women and their children's long-term health. It will follow over 5,000 mother-child pairs for up to 7 years to track pregnancy outcomes, child development, and how often infections pass from mother to baby. The research will observe families but does not test new treatments—it gathers information to improve future care.
