Can special training ease the stress of pregnancy and new motherhood?
NCT ID NCT06422780
Summary
This study tested two different training programs for first-time pregnant women to see which better helps them prepare for motherhood and manage stress. Seventy-four women were randomly assigned to either a 'maternal role preparation' course or a 'mindfulness-centered occupational therapy' program. Researchers followed the women after they gave birth to see how the training affected their anxiety, sleep, pain, and overall adjustment to their new role.
